2. SCORING AND PLAYING ORDER
The playing order of every match for the men shall be 3,4,5,2,1, and for the ladies 3,4,2,1 except where arranged by two captains to facilitate the individual event.
Men: Each match counts 25 points. The winning team is awarded 25 points less games dropped in the match. The losing side is awarded the number of games won in the match.Ladies: Each match counts 20 points. The winning team is awarded 20 points

3. SCORE CARDS
Score cards - only 1 score card must be completed, but both captains must sign. The captain of the winning team must drop it in the result boxes. Please sms/whatsapp the result immediately after the fixture to Pieter - 082 694 3731.
4. LEVY
A tournament levy of R430 per player, including reserves and/or manager shall be paid to the North West Squash Racket Association. A levy of R100 for non-players is payable to partake in the first night's function and R100 for Saturday night's function.
5. THE DECISION OF THE TOURNAMENT REFEREE IN ALL MATTERS SHALL BE FINAL.

North West Squash Championship

2. Qualify for North West Closed
To qualify to participate in the North West Closed Tournament, a player must abide to all 3 points below:
2.1 A player must be a paid-up member of an affiliated North West club.
2.2 A player must:
a. Stay in the province – (meaning you stay in the province for the greater part of the week. Full time students who study elsewhere but stay in North West during weekends and holidays are
also considered as residents of NW), or
b. Participate in the league – Saturday league or winter league.
2.3 A player may not have transferred to another province or be available for another province for Jarvis/Kaplan. An exception will however be made for those players - if that player;
A Is available to represent North West at the Mielieland tournament.
B Abide to point 1 and 2 above.
2. ENTRY FEE AND BANK DETAILS

3. AVAILABILITY
Players must be available for the DURATION of the tournament.
Players must be ready to play 30 MINUTES before their scheduled time.
Arriving later than 15 minutes after the scheduled time will result in the player forfeiting the match.
The follow-on system applies. Players will start immediately after the match prior to their scheduled match.
If a player forfeits a match, it will count as a result and they will be withdrawn from the tournament.
A tournament is considered incomplete if a withdrawal is not for a medical reason - accompanied by a medical certificate within 48 hours.
Incomplete tournaments will not count towards the qualification criteria.
Reschedules will not allow.
4. DRAW:
First round times will be posted on www.nwsquash.co.za by Wednesday evening, 24 February 2021
Continuously check the draw for venues and times at the tournament.
Players must be available to start matches from 17h00 on Friday.
Play will end around 21h00 on Friday, 21h00 on Saturday and 14h00 on Sunday
Players not attending the prize giving will forfeit their prize.
Once the deposit is paid, there is no refunds.
Seeding will be done according to NW ladder, with the committee having final discretion
5. CONDUCT AND BEHAVIOUR:
Players must MARK and REFEREE matches (winner referees; loser marks) following their match or risk disqualification and/or disciplinary steps.
The 4-minute warm up and 90-second game break rule will be strictly monitored.
No parents/spectators are allowed to interfere with any marking or play
No intimidation of players, markers or referee’s during and after play will be tolerated
Players and spectators must adhere and abide to the SA Squash Rules and NWJS Code of Conduct.
Instances of misconduct and bad behavior will be severely sanctioned by SA Squash.
The decision of the tournament referee is final.
No shows, late withdrawals or not marking may result in the banning of players from future tournaments.
Use of WSF approved protective eyewear in every match is compulsory – including during warm up or social games. (No exceptions can be made).
The players, as indicated by SA Squash and WSF standards, must wear the correct clothing.
All players will be expected to adhere to the Squash SA code of good conduct.
6. PHOTOGRAPHY:
Photos taken by NW Squash, SA Squash or their nominated official at the tournament may be posted onto our social pages.
By entering this tournament, you automatically consent to use of any photos of you and your family on the NW Squash and affiliates website and social pages.
Videoing of matches is only permissible on the consent of both players
7. ACCOMMODATION:
Please indicate if you are willing to host an external player (from another province)
Travelling from another province? Please indicate if you require to be hosted by a NW Squash player and we will do our utmost to accommodate you
